They are the result of a natural response to living in the Kent countryside, where every day nature and light weave a fresh dance of shape and colour. For some time now I've been sending one of these images every week to friends, colleagues and acquaintances.


Increasingly I'm being asked for particular kinds of pictures, whether flowers, sunsets, meadows, seascapes, or pictures in black and white.


So here you will find the full collection, being added to almost every day.

Peaceful Pictures of Kent and Sussex


Since coming to live in the Kent countryside a couple of years ago, I have enjoyed the peace and quiet of dark nights. The contrast of the days is therefore greater, making one more sensible to the weather, the light and the sheer abundance of flora, fauna, and bird life all around.

Country walks through Kent and Sussex take one easily through gentle, rolling landscapes, often unremarkable until a certain light falls across them, or a vast bloom of yellow rapeseed emphasises the sensual curves of a natural view. The natural industry of agriculture and horticulture create their own peaceful views as well.
